About Me
My life has been marked by service, challenge, and personal growth. For the past six years, I’ve dedicated my life to serving my country in the military. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was deployed to support critical operations. It was a challenging experience that solidified my commitment to service and sacrifice. The camaraderie and shared experiences forged during this time have left an enduring impact on my life.
Before my military career, I worked as a manager at Target, leading a team of over 40 employees. This role allowed me to hone my leadership skills and develop a strong work ethic. I learned the importance of effective communication, problem-solving, and motivating others to achieve common goals.
Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in Public Relations at Texas State University. I’m drawn to communication and its ability to shape public opinion. Effective communication is essential for building strong relationships, resolving conflicts, and inspiring action. As a member of the Army ROTC program, I'm constantly striving for excellence and preparing for a future as an Army officer.
To challenge myself physically and mentally, I've joined the Ranger Challenge team. This competitive team pushes me to my limits as we compete against other schools in rigorous obstacle courses. The camaraderie and discipline gained within the team have been invaluable experiences. The physical and mental demands of Ranger Challenge have taught me the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and adaptability.
Through my military service, academic pursuits, and extracurricular activities, I've developed a strong foundation of leadership, teamwork, and resilience. I’m eager to apply these skills to future endeavors and continue to make a positive impact on the world. Some of the skills you will see highlighted on this page. In the group, I was an editor and helped write the content. Ultimately, I was the one to turn in most of the assignments after I got to look at them.
